Another Christmas treat: Delicious hazelnut balls!

Ingredients

  • 125g soft butter
  • 100g honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. ground cloves
  • 2 tsp. cocoa powder
  • 125g ground hazelnuts
  • 175g wholemeal spelt flour

Preparation

  1. Beat together the butter, honey, egg and rosewater until frothy.
  2. Add the cinnamon, cloves, cocoa, hazelnuts and flour, then knead the mixture.
  3. Cover the mixture and leave to stand in the fridge for two hours.
  4. Roll the dough into balls and bake for 10-15 minutes at 200°.
