Berlin – Hertha eSports player Tom Bismark has spent the past weeks preparing himself for the ‘Mach dich Hertha Online Cup.’ The 18-year-old followed a strict regimen that included back exercises, proper nutrition and mental exercises as well. “I want to make it as far as possible in the tournament and win it, if possible. That’s what I’ve been working hard to prepare myself for over the past days and weeks,” Bismark said about his goals ahead of the FIFA 20 tournament. The competition got underway on Thursday evening (06.08.20), where Bismark let his skills do the talking for him. Despite not being able to take home first place, the Berlin-born gamer made it to the semi-finals and finished amongst the top four. The match to determine third place did not take place.
However, Bismark is pleased with his result. “There were several well-known and strong players there. Thanks to the preparation I did together with AOK Nordost, I’m very happy to have finished amongst the top four, even if I could have made it to the final,” he said. A total of 58 players took part in the competition. The champion of the tournament was ‘MC_Schmidti,’ while ‘Tabaaluca’ finished in second place.
