Does sport help fight cancer?

The German Sport University Cologne is currently conducting a study to determine what influence sport may have in the treatment of prostate cancer patients. Under the name ‘GAP4”, Dr. Moritz Schumann’s team are researching whether high-intensity strength and conditioning, coupled with additional psychological support, can improve the overall life expectancy of patients, in what is a world first and the largest study of prostate cancer patients. The Movember Foundation, whose goal is the improvement of men’s health and wellbeing, is sponsoring the project.
