Fresh from the academy kitchen: Grilled Watermelon

Ingredients for 4 persons


  • Watermelon (ideally Sugar Baby watermelon)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Sides examples: Prawns or Italian ham or salad


This is a super straightforward recipe which is sure to bring back that summer feeling: peel the watermelon and cut into 3 by 3cm squares. Add the squares to a grill pan or a non-stick frying pan and fry them well from all sides using a little olive oil. Season with some salt, cayenne pepper and balsamic vinegar. Done!   

Serve with sides to your personal taste and enjoy!
